I was just watching Who wants to be a Millionare.....
Usually dip shits that really dont need money win something... or a whole lot of something...
but i thought it was awesome tonight.

The last contestant was involved in a huge car smash.. left him pretty buggered up & onthe doll.
He just won $16,000 and is coming back next week to keep going.
I just thought it was pretty awesome that someone that REALLY needs the money has the luck to firstly survive a huge smash, get onto the show, then to go on and win some $.
thats all.

There was a guy on a couple of weeks ago whose wife of 15 years died four years ago and he was left with his boys. He had declared bankruptcy last year and decided to go on so that he could start fresh. Some department got their mits on 18k of it and are now claiming expenses to get the money back as well as interest.

He can't even get a bank loan to get his motorbike back even though he works because he declared bankruptcy. The poor guy just can't get a break. :(

I hope this guy has more luck.

I felt so bad because I came home from work tonight and heard that guy talking to his friend on the 'phone a friend' and I started laughing at his voice. Then my family told me what had happened to the poor guy and I felt terrible. I really hope he does well and gets to at least 32k, will give me a nice warm and fuzzy feeling inside if he does.

A fw weeks/months ago this geek was going for the 1 000 000 and hadn't used a lifeline yet.. The big dollar question was some abstract trivia that 1 in a billion people would know.. THis cheeky bugger 'phones a friend' .. He rings his Dad, and (if you know the show its read the question and get an answer in 30 sec i believe) His old man picks up the phone and the smug bugger goes "Hey dad I just won a million dollars" and hangs up.. He then turns to the host and locks in the correct answer.. Incredible, the audience was cheering and going nuts. Not just because he won the cash but how he did it..

What a smug little C^&*, I don't think that would wash too well with audiences over here. Kinda like that young guy from Perth who is the Fremantle supporter, he's so damn cocksure and arrogant I pray he will lose whenever I see him on TV......gotta love the tall poppy syndrome.
