Default Metalocalypse

This one's mainly for those into death/black/heavy metal, though if you're into rock/heavy music, have a sick sense of humour or would like to see what people are animating these days using Flash technology, then Metalocalypse is for you.

It's a show featuring on Adult Swim, a cartoon segment on Pay TV for, funnily enough, adults. I don't believe it's playing on Australian TV yet, so you'll need to go through YouTube, or scour the file sharing sites like Livewire for videos.

Metalocalypse is about an outrageously popular death metal band called Dethklok. They have the fifth largest economy in the world, have fans sign waivers should injury or death occur at one of their shows, and as befitting the parody nature of the show, are completely stupid. The episodes are about 11 mins each, all animated in Flash. The music is very well done, and one of the curiosities about this show is that the guitar playing is animated correctly! It also features guest voices, including James Hetfield, Kirk Hammet and other forthcoming metal musos - and regular Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker). The episodes are filled with metal references so those really into their metal will get more into it I guess.

Sick, very funny, very metal, and in their bands own words, very BROOTAL!
