More often than not it was mum with a (in Qld) port strap. In most other places it was probably called suitcase strap.

Seeing the famous SS United States coming to the end of its life.
Been following the story of it over the last couple of sad years weighting up whether to restore or not in Philadelphia.

Still holds the Atlantic Blue Riband record for the fastest crossing.
She will be sunk off the waters of Florida.

Ordered a compression tester from Amazon, my thinking was the number of times I'd use it, over investing seemed pointless. Opened the box, hooked it up and.................nothing. Checked the connection, checked against another engine................nothing. Back it goes!

Meanwhile, what do I buy?

That’s pretty unusual. Is the relief valve stuck open? Can you get any gauge movement by poking your air blower nozzle directly into the gauge base and “sealing” with your fingers closed around it?

Have bought quite a lot of limited-use tooling from “Professionaltools2013” on Fleabay.

Despite it being advertised as being suitable for small engines, turns out its not.............................so I bought the wrong one. It's still going back though, its advertised incorrectly.

Quite a majestic looking boat. Resonance of melancholy in the name, respective to the top-down degeneracy blighting that country, too.

On Sunday I purchased a winch from a local 4x4 place, I paid cash and he asked for my email, without thinking I told Him ( I usually just give a bogus email ), then asked why they needed it he said so I could redeem the 10% cash back, I didnt think any more of it, since Sunday I have received 16 emails with offers, 9 today all within 10 minutes all about the $38 cash back, another 1 added to the block list, and a lesson learned to not give out my email to these buggers.

Website pop-ups, they are out of control!

You know the sort, join now for 0.023% off your first order, give us your email address and phone number and we will make sure you never miss out on the 7 emails we send out every day, send us an enquiry and we will waste 5-minutes of your life via the chat-bot, rate our website even though you've only been here for 2 seconds..................

No doubt this is the work of overeducated but stupid marketing professionals, a classic case of someone being oblivious to the actual job they are being asked to do. It's like being pounced on and pestered the very second you walk through the doors at a store.......................like, just give me a moment PLEASE. And just like in a bricks and mortar store, I'm less likely to buy something if I have someone breathing down my neck.

I’m not sure the people who administer these behaviours are over-educated, my impression is they’re lazy and stupid. And weak. I reckon that if they allowed people to choose no pestering, the inflictors might worry they’d be seen as redundant.

Imagine if the first pop-up was “We didn’t detect any of our cookies on your device. Are you good, or would you like help?” Thereafter you were treated correspondingly.

Same as GPS navigation programs want to take you from beginning to end. I might only really like some guidance for the last 2km to a new location, but you can’t tell your phone or Garmin that.

“AI” my backside; it’s more and more the converse.

This morning, a kid riding an e-scooter along a heavily trafficked, 80 kph road while reading his phone. And those scooters are pretty fast themselves. And yet, if he happened to veer into the path of a coming vehicle, guess who would be at fault for hitting him.

…Another dead brake globe on Povo Ute. They are lasting only a few months. I might not brake much, but when I do - it MATTERS. So I don’t want other motorists being caught out.

I’ve tried different brands and batches, no difference in lifespan. Think it might be time for some LED items.

Nah, you'll be right.
It's like having a crash with a taxi, they're always at fault.

Down at the Table of Knowledge having coffee with a few other veterans two kids whizzed past doubling on a scooter with fat tyres on the footpath just inches from us.

The newsagent is next door with lots of oldies going in and out for the morning paper.

Could have been a disaster.

Was driving along a road at the speed limit (90kmph), truck in front of me signals to turn left at the next side road. No problems so far. There was a B double turning right from the same side road I am approaching.

I had a feeling that this guy that was waiting to turn right, was going to pull out on me. Yep. And Boom. He did. I'm talking like about 50 metres of notice here while doing 90 clicks. So at this point, I now have 2 choices.

Write off the other halfs car, or put the new ceramic brake pads that I fitted 2 weeks ago to the test.

I stopped. And had my eyes glued to the rear view mirror, as there was a mummy in her SUV following behind me at a very respectful and safe distance.

So after I had stopped I watched the prime mover, that turned right in front of me inch by the front of the car, then the A trailer crawl past me, then the B trailer...

Did I yell? Scream carry on like a pork chop? Turn around so I could get some contact details of the company this person works for?

Nope. Just kept to myself. He knows he made a mistake. I have made them to... just not in a B double...
