Your usualy scoring between 1 to 3 goals so of course your gonna celebrate after a goal is scored and its entertament for the crowd to which i might add the crowd atmosphere at soccer game is more exciting then a footy game with all the flares, horns, chants, flags, banners. Anyway I also go to AFL matchs which is pretty good to.

Referees should have access to video evidence. That would mean higher scores. Maybe also wider/taller goals. |

Will always be football (i.e. soccer) for me. Never watched or cared about AFL as it does nothing for Australia's sporting reputation internationally as no one outside this country cares or knows what it is.

AFL I would have to say over soccer.
But, both games are getting soft, "don't touch me or I'll fall over and get a free kick" there is that much acting it is taking away from both the games. Rugby Union all the way! |

But whats this about Soccer being UN-Australian , what could be more Australian in these days of multiculturalism than suburban race riots for causes in faraway lands? |

Thank god for "choices" I say.......
The "Real Football", I started at 5yrs old and still playing at 45. Some say "change the offside rule !!" you just don't enjoy the game really or never played it I assume. It doesn't worry me as it's part of the game. Some teams/players really know how to exploit it and some can't take a trick. I say "get rid of those outside 1 point sticks in AFL because he missed the Real target" but will give him a consolation goal. I say "ged rid of that useless scrum in ARL which is fed in the second row" what a farce right before our eyes. I have to say I enjoy watching a good game of ARL especially when we play England and the Kiwis even though it gets pretty pedestrian but at least it's international. AFL doesn't do it for me but it's aerial "Football/soccer" with wider range of rules. Just enjoy your games "The Real Football" will always be 4th in this country that's our culture but please give the game the respect it deserves.
