It's for sale on eBay and comes from Melton in Victoria. Has a good written description.

It's been on Ebay at least a few times now. I think originally he had an insane starting bid of like $25000! Yes, it's obviously had cubic dollars spent on it, but still...

It's nice but not that nice. Anyone else notice the brick under the front passenger wheel stopping the car from rolling back? If your going to spend $$$ at least get the handbrake fixed.

For a car like that, with as much work done to it as is said, to be on Ebay selling for the price it is (or not selling as the case may be), it says that there's more to it to me. There is no way I would buy a car that worked without knowing a fair bit about it. Certainly not just off an Ebay ad anyway.

Dodgy engine build are you thinking. Wouldn't be the first time someone has been ripped off when it comes to getting a stroker done.

Dunno, its hard to say. Just seems weird to me that someone would spend that much on it and then let it go for such a small price. Fair enough cars lose value and mods dont mean anything when it comes to resale, but I would just be really careful about buying something so worked from Ebay of all places.

But then again, there could be many ohter reasons that he's selling, could be getting divorced over the cost of what he spent on the car for one......lol. another could be that he is in financial strife, lost his job, who knows, all i can say is that if you have a good mechanic, they should be able to tell you what kind of condition the engine is in i'd think. what is on ebay is only what has been offered for the car as well, but you'll also notice that his reserve hasn't been met.

True but a mechanic wouldn't be able to tell if it has oil consumtion issues, especially if an oil change has been recently performed. In regards to the price, his reserve may not have been met and yes it is only what has been offered but why did he set the starting amount so low?

Too many if's, but's and maybe's here for me.

IMHO itd be a backward step going from your ute to that car, youve not long started some good BFYB mods. Get them done and then decide if you really want to get rid of it.

That AU is a Series 1.

Can't comment on the rest, but having sold hundreds of items on ebay, I can tell you for a fact that starting an item on a low starting bid, almost always gurantees a higher selling price. It sounds stupid I know, but I think people are drawn in by the low price, make a bid, and are then mentally committed to winning the auction.

It's not the way I work personally, but my wife and I have tried many different methods, and low starting bid almost always seems to work.
