Default I think my pinky is broken

I was just out side washing and chamoising (sp?) the car, we have a rare cloudy day here in the Alice, perfect for washing a black car. Anyhow I was wiping down the rear spoiler and I somehow caught my pinky and bent it right back and at the same half pulled out my finger nail...... I want my Mummy!!!!

Have had my finger slamed in a car door too, imagine a car door shut, flush, with typical new car sound, except with my right index finger mushed inside.
To make things worse, it was my first day starting my architecture degree the next day.

Nail fell off and all. Yes it will grow back, but will take 3-4 months sorry!

My fingers are clenching involuntarily just reading it.

You might want to go to a medical centre and get it looked at.

I broke my pinky in the summer of '97
I beat my bro in a game of pool and he went to attack me with the cue, i go to block his shot with my hand and the tip of the cue collected head on with the tip of my pinky...ohh the paaaainnnn
My advice splint it as soon as possible...otherwise yours will end up slightly munted like mine

Its amazing how sensitive the skin is under the nail, at least it used to be under the nail. Worst thing the car only got half dried off...... Time for some celtic crossing. Cures everything. Tastes good too.

Yeah, I dont think that it is broken, it still seems to line up. I broke a couple of ribs back in May. I could actually move one of them and make a clicking sound. Really freaked out my wife and kids. Turned me a bit green at first as well. Its been a tough couple of months.

Damn finger injuries. That's gotta hurt. I'm still recovering from an incident a couple of weeks ago in which I accidentally cut my index finger very deep on a metal blade. The cut has healed up (leaving a nice scar) but the swelling hasn't gone down yet. I'm also having trouble bending the end of my finger because of the swelling.

Lucky for you it wasn't cold and frosty, now that makes it hurt even more.
I've broken my fair share of broken fingers, knuckles and the odd black finger nail. When mine grow back they come back with a big lump or low spot in the nail but that usually grows out, The worst pinky injury i've had was when i cut 1/3 of the nail and finger tip meat off with a 'ring' knife at work. It bled and bled and bled some more. I wrote my name on the concrete floor in droplets of blood.
Hittin finger tips, smackin the shin bone, kickin the little toe when runnin to the dunny in the niddle of night and wacken the funny bone...they all hurt..

Here's a piccy of what to expect your finger to look like when u loose a nail. One of mine from a couple of years back..

About 15 years ago I was playing cricket. Was fielding in slips and went for a catch and landed on my little finger. Knew immediately that I had done some damage but wasn’t to keen on looking. Guy standing next to me starts freaking out so I look down to see that my bone had pierced the skin……looked bloody shocking but it didn’t hurt that much.

Still got the scar where the bone went through the skin……gets sore especially when its cold.

Got some nice happy snaps if you want to see !!!

i lost half a nail recently from a tonneau strap letting go on the ute and ripping half my thumb nail off ... that was painful ... and a hell of a lot of blood as well ... poor guy at the loading dock at the time went white when i walked back in asking if he had a first aid kit .... LOL.

I have broken a pinky before ... when at school ... tried catching a softball and it managed to lodge between my pink and ring finger ... the result was my pinky was aat right angles to my pinky finger ... NOW THAT HURT LIKE HELL.

When the nails brake they usually if still attached grow underneath till it grows back, But in your case if it's off it will be very itchy, Try and cover it up with something that wont stick to it.
