Default relay clicking??????????

walked to the ea series 2, and heard a clicking, found out it was the 2nd relay from the rad support (on the left) were there is 4 of them

and it wont let the car start. it stops clicking with the door open :S

what does it do exactly?

just got off the phone with an auto elec, he reckons bodgy earth

must go check it out, its the starter relay

Pull the relay cover off, pull all the relays out (if you don't know which one is part of the starter's circuit) and give the box a good blow (and clean the relay's contacts while you're at it).

Then try & start the car again.

That'll determine whether it's the relay itself, or whether it's the wiring rather than the relay.

You never know, it might fix it!
