Hi i removed my cold air intake on my new ea for the first time the other day trying to work out what the problem with my air con was i discoverd that some one had boared out 2 2and a half inch holes in the cold air intake snorkel should the be plugged or what some one told me i could run pvc piping to them and give it more cold air just woundering i taped up the $%^&s to see what would happen but it just stalled when i slowed down for round abouts but it idled fine...
since i have recently come from the dark side (former vl and r31 skyline owner) i know nothing about fords so i figure i should ask you fellas as you seem to all know your ford stuff |

sorry peoples forgot to mention tis 3.9 mpi with dual fuel and ef head if that means anything and it works on petrol so i asume the airflow meter is in order as my vl had a habit of blowing them on gas

hey mate,
just run a 3" pipe straight off the throttle body. u don't need to worry about a airfloe meter cause falcon don't hav em! they have a map sensor. it also depends on how ur gas is set up u may need to accomidate for that. more info would b helpful.

we used to do that to the dual fuel cars... It shouldnt make any difference.. We did it to help the backfiring

Makes sence racecraft but when it was blocked with tape it ran a tad better im guessing that the okey strap that holds the airflow box down might mean it has backfired once or twice since there arnt a set of clips there
