I like to consider myself open-minded, but when this pushy coffin dodger reversed out in front of me in Castle Hill, I just had to publish a piccy of his hard work....is that a toyota????

Obviously a member of the WTF not club!!

Dig the whitewalls and fake bonnet louvres (not illustrated) :

What a sight for sore eyes. I guess that thing covering the rear wheel is a sofisticated anti-theft device as those tyres have got to be worth a fortune.

This is what happens when the Government reduces funding for the insane and allows them to come out in public.

Ohh baby, now THAT'S what I should-a bought, instead of the XR8!!!

And the spats (at least that's what i think they're called) over the rear wheels... very 1960...

Poses 3 questions.
1. Just where would you get a set of spats for an 82 odd Cressida??
2. Why would you buy them if you did find some??, and
3. How : must you be to think they look good??

Dont mess with the spats.. they are the best anti-wheelclamping device around. By thelooks of it this guy probably needs the protection too.

If I see this car again, I'll get a picture of the bonnet too....its is so bad, I deem it horrid enough to render a "I hate this car and owner club" appropriate!.........

I wonder what he thinks of our cars?

Oh, to be able to spend just 3 minutes in this molluscs headspace............. :gren:

To be honest, I wouldnt underestimate the I6's in the Cressida's, they were a very nice engine in their day. I think they may have been similar to the Supra engine at one stage too.

I'll give you that but purely from a cosmetic/human decentcy perspective it is an eyeball-raping monstrosity.

it is hard to tell from the pictures, but i am guessing those spats look like they have been homemade. the paint looks a different shade, and you know how old blokes alwas like to make special things for their cars.

cars like this are the reason i should be allowed to carry a grenade launcher...

yeah, the spats dont look too crash hot. Especially since they dont line up w/ the body line... or infact they do, but with the sill. It looks just SLIGHTLY out of place.

Nothing wrong with spats, im thinking about them for my wagon!

I think your correct Casper. The guy down the road is a Toyota nut.
He has about 4 Cressida's in various state of repairs.
He just sold his Supra (a nice red one)
I have seen that car before at Castle hill as well.
