Default Mk 1 escort 2L conversion help

Gday I have a mk 1 escort coupe and the 1300 has chucked it in. I have a te cortina with a pinto a 4 speed and just wanted a bit of advice about doing the conversion.
Will I need to change engine mounts?
Can I use the cross member out of the cortina?

Any other tips would be great!
Cheers aidan.

If my memory serves me correctly - the sump will be wrong, and require an escort sump and oil pickup. Also, the extension housing on the cortina gear box is longer. Cortina crossmember won't fit.

Last one I did was a basic drop in , it was 20 years ago so don't remember but into a van was simple, although I recall the mounts needed some spacers to gain a little clearance on the cross member , it will be nose heavy without some suspension but hooked to a 1600 box just fine , might need some brakes as well being a heavy motor , why not consider a 1600 block , a good performer and will go well cheaply
