Default Mondeo dead....waiting for roadside assist

I have a 2011 MC Mondeo Titanium which has been faultless.

This morning driving to work the adaptive cruise wouldn't work. I have just come back to the car to head home and the car won't start. Waiting for roadside assist.

Anyone have any ideas?

Road side assist will probably only tow the car. I would take the positive lead off the battery and wait for 1 min and reconnect it. This may rectify the issue but I would get the vehicle to the dealer for a read off the OBD port to see what the fault code is.

Thanks for the reply.

All sorted. Nrma came out. Tried everything. Checked car battery, remote battery, etc. all good. Tried to start car a few different ways. No go.

He then took off the fuse cover, jiggled a few fuses, and presto it started. Reckons its a bad earth on one of the fuses.

We also noticed that 2 of the fuses are the wrong ampere. In the engine compartment fuse box, F38 should be 5A and F42 should be 10A (according to the owner's manual. In my car these are the wrong way around.

Anyone else have this?

I'll be taking this up with Ford, as if they are incorrectly placed this could lead to costly electrical problems.

Get them to check your battery as well, might be on the way out.

Mine died on my partner and baby daughter and it was the battery that died and shut everything down. That battery lasted less than two years.

Be on the safe side like myself. Get a Ctek charger and charge/condition it every few months. It will evaluate your battery for you and tell you if you need a new battery.
