Default Ecotec V6 runs 7's :p

A while ago in some crap engine thread or such I put a link to a V6 running 10 second 1/4 in a Commodore well this is the same engine although with more work done to it and now in a dedicated drag setup Datsun ute. I find it pretty amazing since most guys seem to be able to blow them up at stock outputs. This makes it the fastest ecotec in the World, beating the American record

Thats awesome indeed, a 7 in anycar is a effort, a ecotec is awesome!

I know of one big power VT over here in the west, was built as a middle finger to a certain former engine builder now parts supplier only, runs 20 pound of boost, twin turbo, also has n2o but hasnt been used as yet.

About 20 grand spent on the motor including billet 1 off offset ground crank, 6 bolt mains, etc.

Still a stock block though.

Still i know of a few 9 second 4ltr's im sure with a swap to something tremedously light, it will be of equal amounts of awesome!

NOT meaning to be picky .. But an offset crank??
Wouldn't it be a stroker crank??
Being billet ???

that isn't picky I think I noticed it too. Not too knowledgable on the guts of a motor though, in that sence, so I stayed quiet. But billet is generally only used for stroker applications when referring to it in regards to cranks etc.
Edit: just watched the clip. In what way is that proof it's running a V6?

Come on, have you seen what the Grand National guys are doing with the Buick V6s in the States?

Yes, I have. In no way does this video prove the same. Lisa kubo did some mental times in her ecotec Saturn ion, but at least with that I could see the physical engine. I'll wait till some pics float around..
