So which one of you fella's are first .
The only advantage i can think of is some of your cars people might fetch some more dollars before you restore them.

Modern rat rods.

Usually modern cars that are rusty are ones you stay away from.

It's a bit like the new matt paint trend too. AMG are now offering matt paints on their limited ed cars. I don't understand how matt can look better than a deep shine, let alone a rusty look!!!

We spend thousands restoring our classics by cutting rust out!!! Why the hell would you want to do this??

So now when they collide with another car, when the other car rubs paint off onto the "trendy" car, the owner will be like "Oh no, you've ruined my rust!"

Can anyone else remember when cars with rust were often defected? Everythig old is new again.

But some things shouldn't come back... :S

I've seen some like that lately, although not so rusty. I thought, poor #@$$, someone must have thrown brake fluid over their bonnet. :togo:

That Has to be some kind of joke..

I make sings for a living and have often had to make new signs with a rusted look.
Anything can be made rusty fast. I use an iron filing/paint type mixture and an oxididising agent to excel the process. Salty water makes it even quicker. My most recent was an aluminium rusted sign for a resturant.

Im not sure this looks to good on a car tho..

So when you take your Falcon or Territory in to the dealer to complain about rust they can just say "That is our fashion forward styling option noob".

I thought BMW were going to be the first of the Germans to have matte black paint, looks like MB beat them to it.

I cry for the future restorers of these cars, good luck getting a rust free bonnet : : Geezus I hate the trends these younger ones are coming up with, pants down around your knees so everybody can see your jox : a cap with a hoodie over it zip open no shirt : and the whole shuffle thing, hello you are running on the spot not dancing :

as you can see the intellect of the individuals that come up with this is, well about on par with a mentally retarded gorilla.

Why do they have roof racks too? Wonder if they put some sort of sealer over the top once its rusted so stop it rusting too much?

new ternd going around some sort of anti bling thing, some cars are stupid, like the new golfs and such with a bonnet rusty. Other cars look alright, "junkyard dog" style, some cars have lots of $$$ spent on going hard and have the "as i found it in the paddock" body etc. Alot of cars also have roof racks and old style leather carry bags. Sorta the opposite of taking older cars and putting modern drivetrains in them.

works better on the older euro cars. For some reason its centred around VW's...

The civic doesn't look that bad, better then a blinged up one...
