Default Checking service history

I recently purchased a BA XT (mk2) falcon - still under warranty with 70,000km. While the log books have been stamped, was wondering if there was anyway to check the actual details of what has been done i.e. when was the transmission fluid last changed or any parts replaced.

Does Ford provide a complete record on request, or do I need to ask the mechanic that stamped the book?

try and check with the dealer that stamped the book. The dealer i bought my car off showed me the complete service history as in what had been replaced etc... Usually track it by the No. Plates if they havn't been changed

Re the trans, don't let Ford service it. Take it to a specialist auto trans place. I took mine to the one featured in Autospeed here in Adelaide. The owner said Ford never take the pan/sump out of the trans, so the filter never gets replaced, just the oil gets changed.

Re trans oil change, NRMA's new service centres(if you in NSW) will do a full flush(Pump new oil through until all old oil is gone) incl changing filter and gasket for $195...better than ford quote of 165 for just a filter, gasket and sump oil change...

Ford quoted me $295 or $360 (with the filter) IIRC for an auto gearbox service.

EDIT: for a BA
