Default My new car! '94 NCII V8 + photos

Hi everyone.

Well last Saturday I went to a Ford dealer here in Adelaide to help my dad look for a new car as someone wrote his EBII off. He's looking for a BA Fairmont. Anyway, while I was browsing the yard I came across an NC Fairlane. It got my attention because of the fantastic condition. The paint is extremely bright with no fading at all. The body is dead straight too! Anyway I couldn't resist, so I took it for a drive and bought it!! I know I paid a premium for buying it from a Ford dealer but it's one of those cars that you don't find everyday in this condition.

BTW I paid $6500 with 3yr warranty.
(The price on the schedule was $9965!!! Dreaming if you ask me!). It's an OCT 1994 build and first reg August '95. Oh it's a V8 of course! It's only got 140000ks, totally original, the interior is absolutely immaculate. It's also Polynesian Green. The last owner (it's had two before me) spent over $11500 in the past 6 years (I added up the receipts) on servicing and mtce. He replaced everything when it went. Even things like the chrome bumper mouldings which he replaced with genuine Ford ones. Absolutely nothing has been spared on this car.

Hope u enjoy the photos and let me know what you think!

Nice NC mate, could've done better on the price but they're still worth every cent when they're in such good condition.

What are your plans for it?

Yeah I know about the price, but I figured hey they threw in 12 months rego and just the way the previous owners looked after it makes it worth it.

Funnily enough I'm gonna keep it the way it is for a while. It's totally original and maybe I'm getting old, but I'll even leave the ugly mudflaps on!

I have an EBII Monty that I'm gonna convert to manual. I've already done the exhaust on that (2.5 stainless steel Lukey) and it's on superlows. That's my daily.

I think I may just keep the NC like this as a bit of a historical keepsake.

Thanks Dezza!

Yeah it looks even better in the flesh. I'm no photographer!
Needless to say I'm very happy with it!

Nothing wrong with having a comfy cruiser, the NC would be a top easy-going cruiser ;)

looks extremely clean slam it on a set of 18's or 19's. get superlows in the front and ultralows in the back but get a camber kit shortened shocks and new front struts thats what i did to my lane, i wish my lanes body was so well looked after i payed $6,500 for my 97 model nl fairlane but i went private and mines a six with 215,000k's and the body is scratched in lots of places and has a handfull of small dents.

hold onto it for as long as u can cause resale value of fairlanes nowdays is plummeting fast i put it down to alot more city traffic isnt the best conditions to be driving such a big car and the high price of fuel. its all about fast 4's nowdays
