Default Wagon tank size

Well, I filled up on the way home from work tonight. I think there was roughly 2 litres left in the tank, and according to the bowser it took 78 litres ($100!) to fill.

Did EF wagons come out with an optional 80 litre tank, or have I been ripped off?

Cheers

I actually thought wagons only came with 72 litre. Something sounds dodgy. Unless you filled it right up the neck lol

It's an independent servo, but I'd never pick them as being dodgy (small country town, family-run servo with their house next to it). If they are ripping customers off I'll be shattered, I always fill up there :( <-- however all other times I've filled up there have been in the Flange Meteor, and I never ran that empty (I don't trust the fuel gauge in it) and I'm not 100% sure of its tank capacity.

It's not on gas yet Al, but I put a deposit down nearly a fortnight ago, they should be calling me late this week or early next week to book me in. Then it's bye-bye $100 fills!

Webby: well I did fill it pretty much chokkas, but I doubt the neck would hold 6 litres.

Well I'll see if it impacts on how many kms I get from the tank. I'm pretty much driving to work & back (130km round trip, flat & straight-ish highway, minimal traffic light stops) for the rest of this week so I'll keep an eye on the odometer. It typically manages 550-600kms/tank when I've filled it to the first click (just under 70L)

Earlier (x-series) falcons came out with long range tanks I believe, but I can't find anything on E-Series falcons

you could always contact the previous owner and see if they know anything about this mysterious larger tank??
Where abouts are you getting your conversion done??

My phone died on the weekend, so i've lost his number :( I spose I could rock up at his place, but it's a bit of a detour for me.
