(Cant say the same for Me Lad ) I currently have a BA Mk2 XR6 with just over 103,000 on it and have been really happy with it. G'day, thanks for the welcome.
I have a 1998 EL Falcon, had an overheat incident, which has resulted in a blown head gasket. Last time I changed a head gasket was in the late '60's on a Customline of all things which indicates (a) what age I might be, (b) how things have changed, and (c) because I have never worked in the industry, my knowledge and abilities of todays vehicles are less than useless.
I am now an aged pensioner, can't afford 'Garage Prices' for the full job and am looking for someone who can help get this job done. I have the appropriate kit, including head bolts, but would appreciate a more professional approach to get this job done. Anyone who can help in the Langwarrin/Frankston area is welcome to ring me on 0412 350 006.
BTW, it still runs well so long as I don't get caught up in an idling situation....that results in the temp rising dramatically.

Hey all, my name is Aaron.

I have recently become a proud owner of a 2003 FPV BA GT-P (Manual).

Looking to meet and know other ford enthusiast who share the same passion.

Have noticed a few things that need to be fixed up, seems to be stalling on down changing gears using engine to slow down (over rev) its like it cutting out cylinders and cuts engine off however i am able to start again and drive, i have heard it could be a TPS or the ECU. From what i do know the Throttle Body has been pulled apart and cleaned and a few other things were replaced prior to me picking it up.

So just gotta trouble shoot to get rid of the problem.

Hi,I'm Ron,
This is my first foray into the world of fora.
I recently puchased a 09 territory as a tug for my van as I retired last year.
Used a Falcon at first but he Territory is fantastic doing its job.
But I tried to fit a reversing camera into the rear tail gate.
But can't seem to get a wire down to the reversing light, so it can power up the camera .
Please has anyone got any ideas as to how I can connect these two together.
Regards
Ron

Hi all fordforum folk.
I have just purchased a sz tx territory diesel. My first diesel & Ford.
I drove it from the auction room yesterday; it drove really well, a nice intro to the world of driving a territory.
But, I'm starting to 'touch wood' as I've since been reading about the dangers of water contaminated fuel.
This seems to be looming as a major problem.
I would be grateful of any feedback on how real this issue is, and any suggestions to help avoiding any potential problem.

Gday all. After bouncing around like Ace Ventura in a Jeep Wrangler for about 13 years, it was time for some luxury in my life.
So without doing enough research I'm finding out now, I lashed out and got myself a 2003 XR8 Phantom. On the whole it's great, but you know, things tick, clunk and just seem a little funny. So yeah questions will be asked in due course. But hey it does get better fuel economy than the Jeep. So I'm winning straight off the bat.

This thing ate up the Great Ocean Road the other week. And we got airborne!
Love'n it. Mmmmm leather.

Hi All,
Great site. Wish I was joining for more positive reasons - but sorry to say I've joined up so I can see how many other 2012 Territory AWD Diesels have been or are leaking water into the cabin resulting in wet floors every-time it rains!

Been going on now for more than 15 months and I'm fed up!

Hi - As far as I can tell its now only leaking into drivers side floor - front and rear. In earlier times all carpets have been saturated. They have resealed doors and fitted plastic into each of the doors as a few people on here have also had to do. Now it seems just the drivers side is still an issue for unknown reasons.

I have joined Ford Forums to alert the Ford Enthusiast Community to the fact the Ford Australia intends to ship the Company Archives to the USA - so they will not be accessible to people in Australia - I urge you to post the following article by Peter Robinson in Wheels Magazine to as many Ford sites and in particular to Social Media as possible to publicise the Ford plan and to prevent it happening - http://www.wheelsmag.com.au/news/160...ralian-archive

Gday all, I'm Chris from Ocean View QLD. Can someone help with an NA Fairlane alternator problem?
Here's the story so far:
She broke down on the way home from a party. RACQ told me coil failed, so got towed home.
I bought an aftermarket coil from Supercheap for about $40.00, it looked the same, only the small 2 wire plug doesn't click in nicely, but it is in. Damn awkward job to fit it under the manifold!
So it worked, on the test run the battery light came on, multimeter shows not charging. I bought another alternator from a wrecker for $90.00, same problem. I bought a replacement on-board voltage reg unit from Repco for $80.00 (they just pop out with 2 screws), fitted this to the 2nd alternator still in the car, same problem. Any ideas? Is it possible the ECU is messing with the charge control signal? Cheers
