Does someone know, are any cop cars meant to have their flashing lights on if exceeding the speed limit and driving like an apparent idiot like that?

Sure do, loosley inforced though.

Yep if I was stuck in a Camry I would make as little appearances as possible. Oh the shame. I'd rather be on a pushbike.

In the last couple of months I have seen a handfull of these sneeky undercover cops, I actually have a list. The list goes..

#1 Ford Territory white with grey plastic, no tints

#2 Mitsubishi Magna - Dark green very dark tints/five spoke rims.

#3 Mitsubitsa Lancer - Dark blue/tints/spoiler/stock mags.

#4 Mitsubitch Lancer - Red/tints/spoiler/stock mags.

#5 Mistafishy Lancer - Black/tints/spoiler/stock mags.

#6 Mitsarice Lancer - Black/tints/spoiler/stock mags.
^^^^^^
I think the last one sums it up! 'rice'.

All of these are in my local area, the four lancers basically have the same plates, something like: baj... bag... .

Arrr : , I cant leave him out, Ford GT/GTP silver with orange stripes/tints also, I think everybody that lives from Tahmoor to liverpool would know this car.

It's up to the driver i believe. If they were trying to catch up to someone and he was a fair distance ahead and they had their lights going and he saw them coming up in his rear view mirror what do you think he'd do, take off faster, turn down a side street or something.
They obviously wanted to sneak up on him before he had a chance to get away.

On the Kamillaroi hwy between Tamworth and Narrabri I have seen many times a metallic blue GT-P wit about six aerials.
A little bit of history now, my dad once told me that the cops around the central coast in the 70's had cars with surfboards on the roof and the cops were wearing boardies. He seems to remember a Minni and a Holden station wagon.

My wife the other day spotted a black FPV GT with silver stripes, as a unmarked cop car (lights in the back window and in the front grill) blocking off a road, while some other cops in plain cop cars did something down the side road.

Mate of mine used to drive east west trucks and used to tell me about how the highway patrol had Mini Cooper S's.
Awesome little cars in their day.

As HOON69 says ... what's new? The cops have used PLAIN WRAPPERS (truckie term) for decades.

The cops have been sneeky for ages, years ago in Perth there used to be a silver VH(?) Commodore V8 that was lowered, twin system, front and rear spoilers, flare kit, bonnet scoop and dark tinted windows. They would bait cars at the lights and when the lights turned green it was on. Once you broke the speed limit the light would come on the roof and they would get for you, speeding, drag racing, plus whatever they could find then they would go over your car and normally give you a nice yellow sticker.

Report the Rego and date/time/location to police internal affairs. They get into heaps of crap and have to do heaps of paper work. They realy hate it. But why should they get to fly through traffic without lights on.

in brisbane been pulled by a dark grey honda accord euro, WRX and Silver camry sportivo.

there are now 90+ Aurions in both unmarked and marked in qld police force 40+ camry sportivo's

the hoon squad have 1 x black VRX 380, 2x black Aurion sportivos, i know of 1 black VY SS ute that has been mentioned, and there is a XR6T in white getting about as well.

Sneeky sneeky.. but i guess traffic branch need to do something to occupy their time.. think i would get more enjoyment dropping my pants and using a belt sander to do the job but... what ever floats your boat.

I have heard rumours of a VW transporter van with a length of PVC pipe on the roof racks that patrols around bayswater as well, unsure how much truth there is to that.

The correct thing to do would have been slam the anchors and then see who's laughing.

Although one would think displaying P plates on a police car would be illegal, considering they're exempt from displaying. There was a youtube video of a BF XR6T from NSW Police with a P plate on the boot. Just plain wrong.

This thread is good enough reason for the EBA to NOT be signed in Victoria.
