Hi all..
I have got a new phone ( Sony Ericsson ), and as usual all the standard ringtones are stupid music that I hate.. Has anyone got any normal ringtones stored as MP3 files that they can email me ? On my last phone, I found a few, but I cant find them on the net anymore. I remember there was an old style phone, and others. I am also looking for a normal nokia style message tone. What sort of Sony Ericson you got? Most new phones come with computer software so that you can plug your phone in to the USB and transfer your favourite song you've got on CD/Computer. I've got the W180i and thats what i've done.

Yeah I have the sony ericcson walkman and I just stick the USB cable in to the pc and get my favourite MP3's on and use them as ring tones and message alerts - Yoda's laugh is getting tiresome though... Thats the main reason they bring out new phones with the new technology - so you can put cool stuff on em...

Check out www.imserba.com Sign up to the forums... there's all sorts of uselss rubbish on there, but plenty of normal MP3 ringtones to be found as well. Comments above noted regarding putting music on there, but sounds like he wants something that actually sounds like a phone

i got a message one that goes message! and gets louder and louder until its screaming and the the voice just screams AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
aslo got another message one that goes (in a spastic voice) ive got mail,, yay i got mail.

The eurotrip "mail muthf*cker" one is good too - got that one, but not exactly well received at the shops with women and children around...
And granted he wants the dodgey ring tones of phones of old, but it seems an awful waste to get one that has that capability then...

if your phone came with a cable, just take your favourite songs, and chop them up in a music editor. i use Audacity, its not my fave program, but its easy, then i just covert the saved .wav files to mp3's. for example, my msg tone is "master... master" from master of puppets by metallica. yeah anyway.
