Hi all,
Here is a good question for you. Can an ADSL router dial phone numbers itself unattended when it wants to. I have a friend whose ADSL router is suspected of dailling a 019***** (number appears to be a modem) on the 19th and 20th of each month, the router is on 24/7 and the computer was 100% off during these unexpected numbers. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

An ADSL router shouldnt be dialing any number unless it has ANALOUGE failover.
you should only need Username@blah.net.au password authentication method. PPPoE or PPPoA VCI 35 MUX 8 depending on the modem it should have an option to set it as maintain connection instead of when needed. what do you have |
