Hi,
Looking at buying a focus LW MkII, is there anything I have to be aware of when looking for this model? Recalls, common problems etc. Looking at getting a 2013 and up model with no more than 40000K on the clock. Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Pete |

What problems do they have with the auto? Even 13 and 14 models?

Really suggest you keep away from the powershift automatics. I have a 2012 LW MkII - the auto gearbox has been repaired and runs ok but still disappointing - will never have a powershift/dsg gearbox again.

Search this forum. There are plenty of comments about issues with power shift automatic (double-clutch, dual-clutch) transmissions.

Pick a level that has a reversing camera, I find it is a must as I Have an LT and LV Focus's and they are not as bad review vision as my LW. As others have stated stay away from the auto unless it is a diesel version. Overall my LW Focus is great, and enjoyabe car to drive.

If you don't have too much know-how about (any) used vehicles, get an RACV (or state's similar) to check it out. You'll get a report like this:

I have driven the 2015 model ecoboost auto trend. Very nice car to drive and more power than the LW.
