Default Build trailers

Hi

With building trailers in sa is just the following ok or do you need reciepts

1. Get vin number
2. Weigh it
3. Put vin number on plate put plate on trailer
4. Go get id check
5. Register it

Has anyone got 6x4ft and 7x4ft and 12x6 ft and 14x6 ft trailer plans thy can put up

yeah that's all you need to do.

I wrote the VIN number on the chassis with a permanent marker, we a no rule about it as long as it is in two places, we all laughed but it passed....

wouldn't you need the receipts then, and also proof that it is new, not a previous stat-writeoff?

Here in WA I believe the trailer rules contains something regarding being welded by a qualified welder. Still quite simple to get it approved.

A different question; I have an Aluminum Ute tray, and I'm thinking if I could purchase a ready made trailer chassis to stick under it, or same as yourself manufacture the chassis for it. I'm thinking of having a dual axle design. I would need to get some second-hand parts otherwise it looks non-economical to do a DIY trailer.

I googled trailer plans images yesterday.

my 5 year old son and I spent a hour looking up some great wooden toys. So be warned.
