Default MA water pump with Timing belt?

Hi all I did a quick search but couldn't find anything.
I'm wondering if I bother changing water pump while I'm doing the Timing belt?
Usually when you have all the front of the engine apart you may as well do it?
I'm a little on the budget side at the moment so I'd like to leave it.
the car has done 105K. I know in the book timing belts are 200k but I just don't want a bucket full of bent valves

anything else I should change whilst in the timing belt area that gives issues on a MA Diesel.

cheers all for the replies.

if it was me , i think i would be doing the water pump, if you do the pump it should be peace of mind for the next 5 years ish or 100,000 k`s or so imo,
im not familiar with these engines, but while its in bits i would be having a look at any idler pulleys/tensioner pulleys and the fan belt as well.

105K kms, leave it all. There's no reason to do it now, there's also no evidence of it being a problematic common failure across the board. My MB was bought at 120K kms and it's now got 150K, I'm not worried and will let the regular service life take it's course.

readdress it @ 150K.

I thought the diesels had timing chains. Am I mistaken?
