I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this problem. In my BF falcon the air-con in the drivers side is so much colder then that passengers side. In fact the passengers side stay luke warm a good 5 to 10 minutes before it starts to cool and even then its still a fair bit warmer than the drivers side. No matter how long it stays on it will never get to the same temp as the drivers side. Even the left hand vent for the rear passengers never gets as cold as the right vent. Its as if a small amount of heat is always vented in the left hand side vents. Considering its not a dual zone system I would have thought all the air comes from the same source. I'm perplexed.

Does it have climate control? Check the vent settings for passenger side if the Falcon has that setting.

It's getting more and more common.

have a gander at this thread, it`s primarily territory but also mentions HIM problems in ba/bf falcons.

The main tell tale sign is one side warmer than the other.
At the moment my BFII ute is not getting as cold as it used to be .... but that's all vents ... so I am hoping a regas and maybe TX valve are in order for me ... fingers crossed.

Hi. The evaporator core is a multi-pass design with the first stage of the expanding gas (which absorbs more heat) biased to the ducts on the drivers side. If there is a difference of more than 10 degrees and no fault codes logged then the system is low on gas. Cheers MD
