Default FG Falcon... No Projecter lamps... Why?

All high end cars have projector lamps. Even some of the earlier falcons had them. ED/EF/EL XR6's also the NC fairlane. Why do none of the most recent falcons have them. All high end holdens do.

Makes the fords seem like crap in comparison.

I disagree that the absence of projector lamps "makes the Fords seem like crap in comparison", HOWEVER, I do think that they should have them in the high end versions.

Let's look at the flip side: I think the indicators in the mirrors of high end versions look great. Holden, even HSV, don't have these. That's the same sort of "no-brainer" comparison.

What I don't understand is why Ford would place orange side indicators on the low end Territories. Another brain fade.

Its probably cheaper for them to have clear bulbs than it is to have clear lenses with orange bulbs maybe?

Yes, because the true measure of a car should be by its headlights.

Seriously, they were probably in the program originally (like a bunch of other stuff) but cut later on for cost reasons or to save features for the next series.

i'm often amused at the things people find to pick on with falcon. you should visit the 'v facts' threads when falcon isn't doing so well in sales. all sorts of things pop up as to why falcon isn't selling.

I don't necessarily agree with the thread's posters opinion, but I do understand. Projector lamps, especially Bi-Xexon projectors give a vehicle more of a sense of prestige then a vehicle without. Projectors, if designed and integrated well, also tend to make a cars front end look better.

I think the Falcon should definitely have projectors and hopefully FG2 does this.

sounds like form over function to me. a headlights primary purpose is to light up the area ahead of the car, not to look good.

Yes, but when has function ever won over form? I'm a dental student, I know where the public stands when it comes to form or function.

They're coming.

That being said, I have projector lamps on my EF, and they are crap. My BF has normal sealed beam lights, and they are brighter than the EF at high beam.
