Wouldnt say that I arent happy about the price of fuel. but I wouldn't sell because of it, so I can see your point. I have tried to drive more economically but I have given that up (its not fun)

selling a V8 beacuse of rising petrol prices makes no sense at all, it doesnt matter if you drive a 4cyl or a big V8, the increased prices are exactly the same in percentage terms, doesnt matter what how fuel efficiant your car is. eg. a jump in 30c/l is going to be exacly the same for a 4cyl owner then it is to a V8 owner.

I'll drive a V8 til the day the oil wells run dry.

If I wanted A-B transport I'd be driving a 3 cylinder turbo diesel Dihatsu.

Higher prices just mean more XB coupes on the market, hopefully!

It's been sitting still for the last 4 years too, with the amount of money spent on it we could of bought 4 new GT's

If you buy the 4 banger, how long will it take to break even from the saving in fuel to and from work?

If anything, it would be more expensive, 2 rego / insurance etc etc.

Would take a long time until you broke even on the investment in a 3 cylinder charade :

Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt! It's time to start concealing the spending a bit better!

Although you've done well so far... The real figure is probably close to 8 GT's... :P

Matt does not need any more encouragement from you guys to buy any more cars or parts...

But as its been said before, still fine when considering the cost:fun ratio.

Be a long time until I sell my V8. Screw the petrol prices, there's no price I can put on my right foot gently tapping the go pedal ever so slightly and the car wanting to go!!

I hoping fuel prices hammer the resale on V8 ghias even lower.

Nobody was buying them anyway so further increase should keep buyers further away. An BF looks like a good model for a Ghia. Although the prices could reduce the number of V8 Ghias in circulation so it proberly works out even stevens.

Its a much muchness really. People will blow big money on a BMW or merc badge, but when it comes to paying a extra $1000 a year for fuel they fit.

I worry more about the cost of tyres than fuel.
