Default Roary the Racing Car (vodafone)

My kid was just watching Roary on ABC, one of the new characters is a car with V8 on it, looking strangely like a VE vodafone car... another fine childrens show sold out, they were even talking about bio-fuel. Another show I'll have to stop my kid from watching to reduce the brain-washing.

Wow i'd hate to see your reaction if you saw what kind of other atrocities are going on on other channels! I hear they even have advertisements on the other dirty non-Aunty channels!

You're kidding and this is a satire thread, right?

If your brian's recently been washed, may I suggest a brain-musher? Put "In The Night Garden" on.

I'm serious, that's some of the most warped, fecked-up wierdness I've ever seen. Almost rivals Yo Gabba Gabba. Even my little boy just sits and stares with a dribble running out of the corner of his mouth (he's back to normal when the TV gets switched off, btw... thank GOD)...

Its an English show so I doubt its any sort of cross promotion. They may have modeled the toy car on one of the Aussie Supercars but I have a feeling that is as strong as the connection is.

Ah Ok, maybe it is a cross promotion thing then. Does the car have any Vodafone or Holden markings? i dont think it makes the show a sell-out, I think it would be a pretty good coup for the show to have a legitimate racing driver and car on it.

I once saw it and could have sworn Stirling Moss was doing the narrating, but it might have just sounded like him.

If Team Vodapohone had remained with ford, then this thread would be nothing but praise for CL. But because they jump ship, then it's a conspiracy to brain wash children.

This is the 2nd thread on the same subject, and that too was all about brain washing children. Just sounds more like sour grapes form ford fans who can't get past this.

I think it looks more like a falcon than a commodore, the rear wing and tail lights are clearly FG design, good on him for broadening his horizons, there's no mention of vodafone at all but conrod is silver and red like his v8 supercar.
My son loves Roary and I enjoy watching it with him.
I'm sorry Mayhem 07, but from where I am sitting you just come across as a scorned ford fan that has yet to get over team vodafone changing to holden.

just watched the video thanks Boss315

my boy loved it

i didn't hear a reference to vodaphone or holden but the car does look a tad like a holden with the round badge and the paint sceme

but i dare say that the vodaphone car was used being that vodaphone is a british company

lol... yeah it does sound like that doesn't it. I honestly just think there should be some limits on where advertising is placed. it's bad enough my niece running around with an iPhone. My opinion is they are just targeting groups too young to think for themselves.

Apart from the round badge on the front. It looks nothing like a holden. Ford wing, FG tail lights, bonnet buldge (around the shaker). Sorry Mayhen_07 but I think you need to take the one eyed t8 hater glasses off.
Roary is a british show and we should be proud that they even considered putting Aussie V8 supercars in it and acknowledge what it actually is.

And that about wraps up the whole "Roary The Racing Car" debate...

It's on every blinkin ABC channel other than ABC3 as far as I can tell - even ABCHD. And they've been running an ad with Lowndsey in it before each Roary episode for the last week or so.

Exactly, that the point I was trying to make. It is not really biased to either make.

Cool Roary the Falcomo

Check out the twin exhaust how many Falcons have the pipes on the left side
I think they have made some sort of composite model of the Aussie V8 supercar
