Cheers for the heads up.

Everyone reading this should take notice... NSW road toll is a lot worse than last year, which can only mean one thing: Christmas Blitz. Rightly or wrongly (don't get me sarted on the cause of car accidents and the way the statistics are skewed to suit the needs of politicians) this year will there will be a huge crackdown on speeding and driving related offences.

It's annoying, but at the end of the day, play by the rules and you will have a full license at the end of the holiday... well, assuming you started the holidays with one ;P

No No No, everyone speed and give them lots of money otherwise they will spent even more of our taxes inventing new and more diabolical excuses to take money from us.

Oh and if you are an armed robber, rapist or murderer NSW north coast is the place to be as all the police are not available to catch you at the moment they are on "revenue raising" duty.

More cops at holiday times = more people keeping left unless overtaking, and otherwise generally behaving themselves more in my experience. It is astonishing. Note Generally being the operative word in relation to people behaving themselves more.

This is the time of year I usually end up towing boats long distances on popular highways - and always having a crap (and occassionaly hair raising, adrenaline pumping, brake pad and rotor eroding) trip due to the once a year idiots who have no clue how to drive anything but the school run or to the shops.

I am more than happy to cruise down the coast with a HWP in front and behind of me - wonder where do I get a copy of their patrol roster??

The only thing I worry about this time of year is getting there. Getting there quickly is NEVER going to happen.

Two very enthusiastic thumbs up from me.

Geez, what a surprise. Pacific Hwy + School holidays in both states + Christmas Holidays and there are extra HP cars out there!.

The Newell Highway is also crawling with cops atm as well, trying to catch people out since they changed the speed back down to 100kph. I saw more cops between Narrabri and Moree then i have seen in the last 6 weeks

I took the Escort out for a drive on Saturday, headed over to the northern beaches and during the day i saw 4 HWP sitting in blind spots waiting to pick up speeders as well as about 4 other cop cars cruising around. Most i've ever seen in a day around northern Sydney.
