Default How much is it worth?

I'm looking to sell my AU series 3 XR8, I'm not really sure on a starting price.

It's got leather, sunroof, full body kit, around 180,000 k's. I've owned it for about 2 years and it's been a perfect reliable car.

mate the prices vary from state to state ive seen them in Adelaide still selling at 10g's and up.

but ive also seen them at 8g's

i supose what is the car worth to the buyer is the question.

The XR's have managed to somewhat hold value in the last few years.

I know if i had the cash i would part with 9-10 for a nice example.

Depending on condidtion, I'd start at $15k and work down, also depending on if you want a quick sale or not.

that's sounds about right (although people on carsales advertise them for up to 26k : not that they're going to get that...)
Here are the ones currently on carsales.

Cheers, Anthony

Edit: The cheapest on carsales is 15k... :togo:

Tell me about it, I'd be happy with 20k for my car, and thats with a stroker, AP racing brakes, leather, coil overs etc etc Not a sellers market :

Like au11futura said, "prices vary state to state"
I could quite easily see it for 15k in a car yard over here in the west.
Especially will the options it has.

start at about 16.5k with the leather and the sunroof
the kms are a bit high but in reality looked after there is still a lot of
good reliable running to be had

they seem to be quite difficult to come by compared to the b series xr's. if it's a good example i'd start at around 17k and it gives you plenty of room to move, but don't give it away to the first offer. you've got a reasonably hard to come by classic ford there and if you could afford to hang on to it i would. if its gonna be a bargin you may as well have it.

Why doe's everyone pi5s themselves about high K's?
We bought ours 5 years ago with 180k, full service history and the only thing that we have replaced apart from the harmonic balancer (which is a known problem) is the sunroof, which could of happened to anyone.
It is driven as it should be and regularly sees action on drag days and still runs a 14.6.

My brother traded his immaculate BA 11 XR8 72,000ks leather, on a new GT last month and they gave him $14k. He'd offered it to me for $18k, but I declined. He never called back before he took the $14k........mongrel, haha
