Well since this thread has just been excavated from its grave... I would prefer the EL fairmont ghia anyday. I wouldn't mind one especially if it was a V8 .

NL Fairlane. I love the long, prestigious body.

I would go with the NL. My brother used to have one and it looked great. It had dark tint, lowered, 18" rims, new exhaust and he converted it to a manual! Boy was it good to drive.

Both are awesome cars. It's like asking would you prefer to go out with Jennifer Hawkins or Jessica Alba.

NL anyday.

Bought a feb 98 model white NL from Pickles in July 98, 12,500klm on it for $37,450 and sold it with 82000 klm on it for $32000 in june 2000.
Not bad depreciation when you look at it, lovely car that was faultless in the whole time I had it. Drove some nice big interstate runs in it too, actually come to think of it I do miss that car. Oh well, NL for me over the EL any day.

Oh, and Jessica Alba..........So is Jessica Simpson like the LTD? Similar body but bigger features list and more plush seats?

Having just recently purchased a El Fairmont, i guess that i am slightly biased, but it was been my dream car ever since i learned this beauty existed, I guess i was very lucky that my car, is fully optioned, except for the V8, but a turbo setup should fix that. I suppose i also like the fairmont's easyness to find a suitable park, Although i've only ever driven a LWB NC and just found there was so much roll and just not a aero dynamic, but of course, kit, suspension, could fix this. Either way the Fairmont is a clear winner for me.
