Ford (or more specifically it's dealers) seem to have trouble selling small (read non-Falcon cars). The Focus and Fiesta numbers are disappointing in a booming market.

And the traditional small car companies are having trouble selling large sedans,

e.g Mitsui 380 and Toyota Aurion

Mabe the current Ford ads with the cheesy cricket take off puts buyers off their advertising is shocking compared to the Holden ute ad going through different years and models.
Toyota has a reputation of being reliable and appeals more to the Asian Australian buyer than a Ford

More Mondeos sold than Fiesta? Ranger did good numbers.

Thanks for the explanation...have to say it looked far better seeing so many XR6's out and about and I would think that as a hirer getting one over a stock XT or VE Omega would be far more enticing.
