As for cars.... I remember when everyone was running 750 DP holley carbs, and when it was about roller rockers (not roller cams) when, if the EPA nailed you, it was steel wool up your pipes to pass.. And when it was about jetting & twin point mallery or Acel distributors, NOT CHIPS, I remember 28 & 31 spline rear ends.. NOT dana ИИИИ.. I remember the "LUMP" from your latest Sig Ersin or Crane cam And most of all, I remember getting dirty, spending every cent I had on my car, thinking of no tomorrows... NOT turning up at a "tune place" in my suit to get the latest "edit"!

I remember paying $40 for a tank of petrol and a tank of gas the day I got my licence

I remember watching Strop and Leo W@nker on the Paul Hogan Show, The Goodies, Monkey, Romper Room, Are You Being Served (Sorry I grew up in the bush... only had ABC).

I remember Perth's 150 year celebrations (or 100) in 1979, Ian Chappell playing for Australia, Fitzroy scoring a record 239 in the VFL, Andrew Gaze as a teenager in the NBL, Jason Dunstall with a mullet

It appears that I am only a youngun - 10/02/1957, and I remember!!!!

I remember a can of coke was 15c and a large pkt of PK was 5c.

Petrol when it changed from gallons to litres was 17c.

When you could go to the servo and buy a pkt of 2 cigarettes, the pack made for kids.

When UDL was new to the market, and I still drink it.

Well Im nearly 38, and suddenly I don't feel so old!!

Can remember watching Moffat at A.I.R. in 1976 driving John Goss' XB GT after his was destroyed in a bushfire. He started off pole and won both races on the day.

Can also remember peering into the cabin of a new XC Cobra, ooohing and aaaahing at the blue stiped trim!

My first full time pay was $178.90 in 1994

My first paid job in 1988 was selling the Daily News in Perth and I got 10c for every paper I sold... My claim to fame is that I sold one to Alan Bond and I didn't have change for a $10 note so he said keep the change :
