Primarily in the car and then the PC next as I listen while on my PC, with the home stereo last, despite having probably comparable or better sound to the car.

I'll post it here...

Its an iRiver H320 (20gb), i've had the wallpaper for a while now hehe..
I got it in around november or december for $630.00 from jb hifi. Its bloody awesome hey, it shits all over the ipod imo. It has 250,000 colour screen and is able to play music, view pictures, it has an inbuilt radio and voice recorder, it can read text documents, and with a firmware upgrade it can play movies also. Its not as advertised as the ipod but believe me, it is quality (and durable too, i should know LOL)..
Check out their website www.iriver.com for more info.. i don't know a lot of tech specs about it but i know you can get the same one as mine in 40gb (H340) also.

I've hear they're a decent machine (iriver).

I went for a look at the new apple shuffle thingy's for my g/f. They come in 512 and 1 gig capacity. Domayne wanted $230.00 for the 1 gig one, making it just $30 shy of the Ipod mini's which are 4gig. Hmmm. I would have thought the pricing would have been a lot better than that to make them more appealing than the ipod mini.

so if glen's is 20gb, it shits all over the ipod....and would work out to be a better price than if there was an ipod with a similar capacity...

I think the 20 gig ipod was about $100 cheaper rrp, however you've gotta take into account the extra features this thing has that the ipod doesn't. Plus it comes with more accesories than the ipod... e.g cases etc.

ahh ok glen, fair enuf. i didnt even know there was an ipod with a 20gb capacity....

i'm not really into the players that much anyway....if i had the money to throw around i'd get 1 for sure...but i've got music in my car, and if im not there i've got music on my PC, if im not there i've got a home entertainment system downstairs, and if im in none of those places, ill probably be at a club with music, or somewhere where i cant have music in any form :P

EDIT: I should check the dates on these threads before i respond

Listening to music in the car used to be a big thing for me. Big CD collection in the glovey, always getting new music and taking it straight for a drive.

For reasons many, im currently driving a car with no CD player. Has been a big change for me. Now ive got CDs at work, but can only listen to them when im the only one here.

And now spend a lot more time sitting in front of my PC at home with the music blaring - i prefer it to a mind numbing evening in front of the idiot box. Sometimes

Music is a big part of my life, its been very difficult to not have CD tunes in the car.

i had a little nomad mp3 player about 3 yrs old it went well till i sweated on it to much (should have worn it outside of singlet). so now im stuck with discman or tape walkman for on the go.

got good sound in both my cars, TDK forcepipe computer speakers (not bad for age n price). and some old school cd player in the lounge

In the Loungeroom = PC Hooked to "Old" 200w stereo with 4 x 3 way 12" boxes

In the office (supposed to be Dining room) PC or CD player hooked to "Old" 65w Pioneer system with 2 x 2 way boxes on the wall *** BUT *** if I really want to rock the house I hook the PC into my 600w PA System with 4 x 12" + horn 180w bins & 2 x 15" + horn 300w bins (just about blows the front door out) , nearly 5,000 Mp3's , lots of 70's & 80's.
