Not really related just kinda curious as to why wagon pumps where mounted horizontal as to sedan pump vertical. I don't mean to be annoying again just curious

finally checked it out ...... it works BUT the slider contact is loose allowing side movement and no contact. this may/may not be the issue with yours?. sorry

You can usually fix this by just bending it inwards slightly.
