Default 2 Telstars... What to doooo

Hey everyone,
Ill start off by saying im cheap and ill work 6 hours to save 5 cents. Now the situation i have is ive got a 1985 Telstar Tx5 Registered till november 2007, and an auto Tx5 (1888 ish i think) with no rego.

The Tx5 manual ive had for a year, i got it for free from a cousin, he got it from the beach and its got some body rust, particulary at the wheel rim thingo and near the door. Its done 457'000k's and apart from the start of the car she runs fine. Ive got a problem with the altenator, the regulator is gone.

Anyway im thinking of taking the parts from the auto and putting em into the telstar manual. Im thinking of taking the hood and some of the side panels/doors from the Auto because they are in MUCH better condition. I might also fit power steering in my manual one from the auto if i can. I dont know if the altenator is worth transplanting or if i should just buy a 80-120A altenator because atm i have a 700w RMS amplifier, 100w RMS headunit + the car.

Im mainly doing this to save money but also to use as a learning experience, i had alot of fun fixing the door locks, they could be openeed with a SCREWDRIVER!! which brings me to my next question.

If i were to fix my telstar up what is the likelyhood of people breaking into it? Like im not asking for a figure but on the scale of rate of stolenness is it a VL turbo or some high class mercedes :P

I might do a special enclosure for the sub's aswell.z

Anyway tell me if im crazy or just a pov bastard :P

Julius

*edit*
Actually is it easier to just put the manual gearbox and all that into the auto? id have a much better nick car then :P
