Sweet child of mine Don't cry All by Guns and Roses there is nothing like slash for a heart felt solo. I am acually trying to get the don't cry one down at the moment on the guitar.

but you still can't beat the guitar solo in Easy Like Sunday Morning by Faith no More - very simple to play but fits the song perfectly. I've always loved it.

Alive
Nothing as it seems Both by pearl jam, Nothing as it seems has a very cool haunting sound and all flows very good. I like the solos with meaning but other people like the ones that are just all about playing realy fast, shreding. Thats what I like about guitar it can cover most situations.

Anyone whos got this album knows what im on about, or people that listen to anything from the road runner cata would love this cd, for there 25th year, they did a cd, with all the bands on the label, mixing together to do songs... eyes of glass by Forbidden is the most memorable lead track I have heard...in fact forbidden as a whole did many a memorable lead track..
other hornourable mentions go to Jeff Waters (annihilator) Alex skolnick (testament) Ritchie Blackmore, Gary moore and early Exodus solo work was superb, in fact most metal bands have hard core shredders...too many to list case in point ( for those that missed it the first time :sm_headba ) http://blogfiles.wfmu.org/KF/2006/06..._Stabwound.mp3
