Small Lock Key ID, Please

What family/brand of locks had these key heads? Older tilt garage door, but I’ve no idea if original.

Lockers and garage tilt a door/side door keys.

Re: Small Lock Key ID, Please

I’m fairly sure the old B&D keys were two-sided. This one, being flat one side and having a distinct “shoulder” looks quite different to them.

Had wondered about L&F, Lenlok, Brownbuilt and Namco.

Looks like 2 keys I have. The van petrol cap and the front screen door.

Spec’d the blank to a lockie, he cut from my (uncensored) photo. Fits spot-on. Life gets a bit easier again.

Its amazing how many people put pics of keys up on the internet not realising how easy it is to cut a key from a photo!

The key shown is to a lock that you can pick with a pair of nail scissors, no skill needed.

I cant see why its a problem, they would need to know who's lock it is, what lock it is to, and where the lock is to use such a cloned key on, its a lot harder than just making a key, plus if they are that good at cloning a key from a picture of a key, then a lock has no chance of stopping them even without a key to go off, I'm sure if they have the gear to cut keys they would be well equipped to bypass the lock in the first place.

It does seem like a lot of trouble to get into something that has had its key posted online, if they are that way inclined to steal something from you a key is the last thing that's going to stop them, a lot easier to just cut or break the lock, window, door, roller door, whatever, at the end of the day if they are going to steal something, damage to get to it is irrelevant.

I'd be one of those people, then again, I never had a reason to post up an image on the net.
I tend to agree with prktkljokr last comment.

Cheers

It’s not legally my lock in the original discussion, but a remedy was needed to ensure ongoing security of assets. In that sense I saw it as responsible to obscure detail not related to the question.
