The chasers- pathetic
 

what i heard tonight on ACA was nothing but disgusting tasteless comedy, where has the repsect gone for the people who have past on. That song was disgraceful. Belinda Emmit (sorry about spelling), Stan Zemanick, these people have done nothing wrong to deserve this crapols pretty much, a disgraceful act, they really should be taken off the screen for the lyrics in that song.

Yeah ACA is pretty ordinary

They push the boundaries. It is what they do.

Stan Zemanick was no saint. No one is.
Every one has faults.
Their point was, in death, all faults seem to be forgotten and everyone becomes this wonderful presence the world will be sad to see gone.

They also showed there is a line. It was drawn at Belinda Emmett. They 'stopped' the song at that point.

It was funny because there is truth in it.

The chasers is awesome I love it.

And the beautiful thing about tv is if you don't want to watch somthing. You simply change the channel.

Stop sooking over somthing that puts a smile on alot of peoples faces.

Yep, they definitely love the smell of their own farts way too much.

If Stan was alive, then he would appreciate it for what it is - a bit of fun!

As for ACA (and Today Tonight for that matter), they are the one's that need to lift their game. That rubbish that they telecast 5 nights a week on TV represents the lowest form of sensationalised shite ever broadcast on Australian TV. I can't work out why anyone would bother watching it!

i didnt watch it, but i watched a summary of what was on last night and thought it was very tasteless, dont get me wrong, i think the chaser boys are funny too, their episode on the ford focus car add "smooth as" was classic as was the joke on the west coast eagles, i even thought their stunt during apec was a bit funny, but i didnt see anything funny bout what was put on display last night. ( but i only did see snips of it on ACA and i thought it was very tasteless)

The media will attempt to amplify anything slightly bad to be 50 times worse.

Channel 9 are just mad that they didn't sign a contract with them. Remember the stories at the start of the year on how funny the chasers are? Now they have changed their tune and any slip-up and they will jump straight on it.
Yeah it was a probably a bit far and I could see how people could be offended but the song was about his great grandfather so I imagine his family isn't too happy.

You rely on the editing techniques of a sensationalist program to form 'your' opinion.

Heres an Un-biased report of it, actually interviews the chasers themselves as well as comments from the prime minister.

Love them or hate them, they know how to get a point across.

Current affairs shows are a waste of time. Those presenters are idiots and its all about the headline grab. They are the ones who have no morals and make examples of anyone who will make a good story. I never watch them, they are one sided, and don't offer anything of value.

i just think they crossed the line from what i saw, like i understand that they did stop when he tried to go on about belinda emmit and it was all pre planeed blah blah.. but i dont really think that was even necessary, yes stan wasnt perfect and had his flaws, as did packer, i dont know what was said about princess diana so i cant comment but all i heard was that they mentioned her.
I think they probably should have picked on some people who are still around.
Im all up for humour, dont even care if its put at my way for fun and jokes.

One of you said Stan probably would have laughed it off, yeah i agree hes a character, thats him, but maybe not so much his relatives just after what happened.

The Chasers meets a need and they may be rude, crude and obnoxious, but for some people (especially me!), it's great entertainment.

I find it funny that so many people complained about the show, radio talkback shows were full of it from people that hate the show yet continue to watch it each week.

Those who didnt, are only seeing the news programs showing edited snippets of the words in the song, they didnt show the context of the whole thing and that it wasnt meant to be offensive. Pushed very very far, but not to the extent that ACA are portraying it to be

Like you said GCFordChic ill admit i dont even know what the song was about, but what i heard i thought was tasteless, but if it was directed in a different way that i dont know then apologies to all for wasting your time (im not being sarcastic), i really am sorry, but can anyone inform me exactly what they were trying to say? Was it just ppls flaws when they were alive? Or was their anything more too it?

If so many of you guys say it wasnt offensive then i have been mislead ONCE AGAIN and would like to know more about what was intended on the song.

personaly I am over the chaser but it's free speach and they are correct even a c--- becomes a good guy after death, how many times have we heard people say how great a guy wa after there gone when in reality there were far from saints

If you dont like the show get up and change the channel or turn the telly off how bloody hard is it

People need to stop whinging so much, if you dont like it, dont watch it. Thats the whole reason there is more than 1 channel on TV and shows like ACA shouldnt be broadcasting whats on another station, that defeats the purpose

I actually missed the chasers and only saw what ACA had aired ( as I was walking past the TV ) and thought to myself. This is hypocritical, saying how it shouldnt be on TV and so and so could have seen it, yet theyre showing it right in PRIME TIME! They actually made it sound like he was talking specifically about someone "all that was forgotten when he took his final breath" when in actual fact he was referring to his grandfather.

chasers rock. baxter, harden up and stop watching Hysteria Tonight for information on how to live your life. I mean FFS, how do you digest Today Tonight diarrhoea without allergic reaction? You were offended by something you didnt even see because they insulted people you dont even know who just happen to be taking a dirt nap with baby jesus..... seriously, harden up.
