I still cant get past how easy it is to orginise the back is when it has 2.2m shelves and it 2.4m long for the open enclosed section. Because i have a shelf aside for personal effects like when i go shopping and stuff, no more stuff just on the front seat to trigger the passenger seatbelt alarm.

We need pics of this new ute!

I actually felt raindrops on my face and was begging for it to **** down on me but sadly nothing much in it, won't register in a rain gauge. You're a cruel bitch :lol

I can only imagine what our farmers are going through when it's been so long even around here, that short moment made happy.

Got asked by a mate, pub? So answer was yes. Asked another mate. Same answer. Wasn't a heavy drinking session, but it ended up at the slot car track and my mate buying new cars over my beat up thing with a bit of setup in it and tyres, yeah, still got 2 seconds per lap.

They warmed to me quickly, I spent $200 in two instalments and don't require three mates to help me haggle on a used wheel/tyre. Also politely ambushed an LPO in the yard for a laugh.

The place has come a long way since you’d lay in septic mud in the mid-90s to strip bumper brackets off an HQ.

Ahh, pick and payless. It took me 6 months to find a dome light cover for my bf because every time i went there every single au to bf some bastard had broken the retainer tab trying to get it off the car. Did get a mandrell bent 2.5 inch exhaust which was rust free and almost new for $100 though. Only ever seen 1 snake in the yard, but im sure there is more. The most difficult part about that place has to be finding a $2 to get in...

Re: What made you feel good today?

Well today, i mean last night i had a mad time showing my mate whos boss at the slot car track, but really, my car, 7.2 on that track? It should have run 7 flat atleast. Is previous best was 6.894. 1 off, but still, a few 6.9s and 7 flat to 7.1 all day. So i wasnt happy with the car. So today i cleaned it up, sprayed what needed to be sprayed, adjusted everything adjustable and hit the track again. Granted i had the track to myself so no distractions and no other cars to worry about. 7.0 was easy. Anything in the 6.90s was not unusual. My car ran in the 6.8s a number of times 6.836 being the best. That i count as a 6.8 second lap. And the body doesnt rock any more superglue. It stayed intact and thats because it stayed on track. The front end is starting to bind a tad, yes i can re glue the fronts, but i dunno, that car should run 7.5 on that track with tyres and other then that its stock and does 6.83 so im more inclined to go and buy a faster car. Well, a faster car and make it faster. Well, not faster but corner better. Corners are where you get the lap times.

Makes sense, pick and payless is in blacktown and thats not far from pendle hill. And just geeking out a bit i did also re rebuild my slot car. Round 4. But i dunno if its going to go faster, i did clearance a few rubbing points. Maybe 6.9 will be the new 7.0 consistant on that track. When funds permit i want to bit same chassis but wider wheelbase.

Back to Nick-n-Payless.

PAS reservoir for the work van - I’d cracked off the mounting lugs in a light dingle.

For Mr Povo, the console delete bottom trim under the ICC, and a jack bag! $20 the lot, hooray. Bring back the dancing banana emoticons!

And was offered a stat FG tonner, less tray, privately for $500. Not sure I need it all!

You need to take up building stone swimming pools. And then conduct random checks for leaks below the waterline, on hot days...

Re: What made you feel good today?

I questioned something today. My new car has 2 bluetooth lights on the screen. I kind of prefered my old ute as it had buttons, but anyrate i screened it a few times. You can connect 2 phones. 1 for audio and the other for phone calls. Thats brilliant. Personal phone for audio and work phone for phone calls. Not bad, i know the technology is there, but in a poverty pack, a cheap one at that. Love it.

.:4:. 05-01-2020 06:27 PM

Re: What made you feel good today?

I go back to work tomorrow so today was a domestic day. Doing washing etc. But being on holidays i kept ladders in the back of the new ute so i decided to create space and roof them. The roof rack engineer at caddy did an excellent job of placement. Also i changed settings on the radio as im going to need my work phone again, fingered the screen and yeah, 1 phone for audio 1 for phone calls. Not looking forward to getting in the car at 10 to 6 tomorrow morning, but the thing is clean. So it should be really, its only clicked 262km. Did tyre preasures and stuff. It says 35 front on the placard regardless. I dont like 35. I went 40. The rears looked low but they were at 35. It says 35 rear unlaiden, 65 loaded or towing. Having a body on the back its never unlaiden. It is loaded, but 65 i dont like, went 55, and its a lot less doughy. If it ever rains i may change my mind. But whats the likelihood of rain?

Re: What made you feel good today?

First day working out of the new ute. It makes like so much easier with the service body. Having shelves means small gear doesnt move every time you hit a bump or small lamps get smashed when big stuff moves. Not having to roll the ute forwards to open the back to crawl in to find stuff or roll forward to drag a ladder out is amazing. Did not have to open the rear door once. Left side door for small gear, right side to chuck a 6 foot ladder in as its easier then putting it on the roof. It saved so much time and effort. And being the first day back for myself and a lot of clients, it was a busy day for me. The ute too, in cbd traffic, its so nice being finally in an auto work car. And the extra power for freeway on ramps is nice too. Its the first time ive driven the thing further then my local shops and it drives well. Only minor downside is due to the body on the back being wider then the cab, it has epic blindspots as it has no windows. I have a blindspot mirror passengers side, may have to invest in one for the drivers side. Also with a ladder on the roof (my 7 foot) its about 2050 tall so a good 150 taller then the ranger was with a ladder on the roof. So that didnt cause any dramas today, i can easily fit the 7 footer in the back but i hardley ever use it so it doesnt get in the way on the roof. But finally my boss bought a couple of functional service vehicles that are usefull and not tin can death traps. The ranger wasnt a death trap, the interior was nicer, it just wasnt usefull with rear entry only. My rattly death trap reference is towards the last 6 or 7 mitsubishi express vans he has bought in the past. So so far im really happy with the new setup. The other bloke who got the identical car, he has only driven it around on his holidays, loved it, but instead of working out of it today, work put him on a plane to queensland to rescue a job thats been run extremely poorly.
