Re: What made you feel good today?
Hearing, seeing another carby XF panel van spitting and burbling past where I'm working. Twice now I've spotted it, metallic mauve colour ?
Would that be a Ford colour ? |
Re: What made you feel good today?
Seeing the security camera footage of a silly woman driving her car of a clearly sign posted loading dock. It was a 4 foot drop. Funny as.

Re: What made you feel good today?
Catching up with co-workers from 23 years ago, at another one of our unoffical reunions.
Someone suggested it's like a wake after a funeral - where all the good stories come out, but this is far better, as nobody had to die for us all to reunite. Fantastic day. |
Re: What made you feel good today?
This popped up on Youtube yesterday, bought a smile to face. Apologies if it's been posted elsewhere, did a search but couldn't see it.

Re: What made you feel good today?
To me it was more like old slap stick comedy but in real life. Anyhow, I had a job of resetting the power to an under sink grey water pump. Seen the plumber and he gives the ok whilst he fiddles with some valve then the pipe bursts spraying him in the face. In the 10 minutes it took to get keys and turn off the water and let the residual drain the kitchen was completely flooded. The floor beneath had water coming through also. The damage wasnt the funny part at all, but the confidence of yeah mate right to go then that happened. Gold.

Re: What made you feel good today?
A short chat with the cheery lady behind the counter at the servo this morning, then a little girl (maybe 3yo) walking with her mum from the pumps waving and saying Hello to me, a total stranger, while I clean my windscreen. Her Mum laughs, I say Hello back.
Its nice when people are just pleasant, rather than all the other options I see each day. |
Re: What made you feel good today?

Re: What made you feel good today?
Went for a blast with a enthusiastic client in their 700HP Audi MTM Quattro around the NSW Central Coast. Holy c**p this thing's fast.
Felt good rocking up at the quarries in a race car with rego, however probably didn't help the price negotiations for him. |

Re: What made you feel good today?
Life sucks sometimes and I haven't had much to smile about lately.
Drove all my cars today. 5.0 litres of supercharged beastliness, 5.0 litres of naturally aspirated goodness and 4.0 litres of inline 6 smoothness helps lifted my mood today. That and a beautiful sunny day making it perfect for weekend bliss. Pity it cant be bottled. |

My brother just got back on the bike and wanted to go for a ride. I don't ride so I took my ghia that I haven't driven in months, and not on the twisty stuff for years. The ghia still has it. I had fun, yeah the car cant keep up with a 1000cc bikes, but it was still fun.

Re: What made you feel good today?
Gave my car a clean today for the first time in 6 months and found these under the front seat.

Some fellow gave me a thumbs up and a bit of duckface as I was reverse parking the ranger today. I'm going to ignore the subtle sexist undertones and instead decide that he was showing support for my taste in vehicles. :lol

I installed some new service parts in my Au yesterday, my missus got them for me after asking Repco to price match (why not, haha) & she got those parts for bargain prices lol, I'm happy!!
For all you home mechanics, ask the spare parts bloke at the counter to price match against their competitors, its worth it, just check online before going shopping, good luck!! cheers, Maka |

Let Todd drive my F6 for the first time since the E85 upgrade. The look on his face when I said " just squeeze the throttle in third, dont go over half". It came on boost and smoked the rears.

I'm not really a supercar fan, but have a massive soft spot for the Ford GT, both the current model and the retro one from the 2000's. The way Ford have styled that car is so clever and I don't think the GT, or Ford for that matter, has been given as much praise as they deserve. Pity its not for sale in Australia. |

Re: What made you feel good today?
MY XP Coupe is off having some resto work done and as an interim a mate has lent me his 1976 Ford LTD 2 door (LHD), he bought it around last night and I had to rearrange my shed to fit it in, it is 6 metres long, my shed is 6 metres, it is touching the back wall and I had to push the roller door out to get it to go over the front bumper - it made my day - hahahahaha
(lefties aren't my favourite, but this is a pretty cool car - big block Cleveland) |

Re: What made you feel good today?
I have a customer that comes in from time to time. A very nice old lady who always dresses immaculately, be a trip to Bunnings or down to the bank. She always seeks me out if I'm working, and makes my day to have a chat.
She owns a Red 1980's Mitsubishi Starion. It's in the most immaculate condition for its age, so well presented, not a mark on it and no paint fade. Much like its owner I suppose. She knows that I own a red Mustang and always asks how its going, as I do with her red rocket. I suppose the reason I mention this here is that cars help us connect with others, sometimes in the most unlikely ways. I'm beaming with a smile as I type this. |
