This is the sadly dying form of 'hot rodding' at it's present day best.

The guy who owns this beemer will have a lifetime of skills to impart, and stories to tell. Bloody well done I say.

I'd seen a few shots of that car around - I absolutely love it. Short of the chop, excessive dumping and flaring, I'd love to do that to a 67----69 Fastback.

Love it! Think it sorta went a bit further than I where I may have stopped but it's still nuts.

I'm not sure I like the chopped roof much, probably would have left it standard and the gold rims I didn't overly like, but a couple of its iterations are pure crazy I reckon. Kudos for being different!

I was interested right up until he ruined the car with a Toyota engine. To each their own, but I'd have left it BMW powered.

I love this car, its been a evolution of style. And for all the "haters" the car got some bad damage, basically rendering it not registrable (or something to that effect) I preferred it before the chop, but it still looks amazing.

The rust is such an eye catching look, and an ever changing effect that recalls such menacing cars such as the ones found on Mad Max or the demonic truck from Duel.

This person has accomplished way more then some cashed up bloke who spends thousands turning, say, an XY into a boring GT replica.

Basically, this bloke had the guts, balls and creativity to do something different.

Not to mention, this car is probally one of the most well knowen world wide, now that is an effort.

Is there anymore to a drag car than loud noise?

Is there anymore to a super car than high price?

Is there anymore to an airplane than two wings?

I don't see a thread on here every day regarding the latest Top Fueler.

Yes its a nice car but its not a new style. Im wondering what makes this Rat Rod so much better then all the others so much so that it requires a thread full of approval?

Its not a bit deal, Im just wondering if there is something here I've missed.

The damage you mention was from an accident. Apparently he stuck it under the back of a truck or something and kinked the a pillar, basically stuffing it.

All it was was a fun project to see what he could do.

Seen a XE/XF or VH/VK done in the same way?

That is why this is so interesting.

The rat rod people all work on extremely old cars, 50, 60, 70+ years old. This is under 30 years old.
