Default Tasmanian Rally - Targa Wrest Point - Pics

Hi all, sorry if the Pub is not the approprate place - mods feel free to move if necessary.

2 day event, over 150 entrants.

Best sounding car............. believe it or not, a V8 powered Porsche : Closely followed by a Monaro coupe.

Crappest sounding car............... 08 GTR of Tony Quins, sounded like, um, nothing positive to say.

This is a random selection, not a lot of blue bloods, just lots and lots and lots of Evos and Rexes.

Enjoy..

Thanks for the pics Tex. Funny you say that, I had the pleasure of being behind a new GTR being strapped up a windy road and thought it sounded pretty good and certainly "supercar/ish". Was Quinns sound unhealthy or just crappy?

Hey mate, this will be an event that I'll tackle maybe next year.

It's like 1/10th the entry cost of TARGA TAS proper, and appears to be taken a little less seriously.

Targa Tas proper has become very 'professional', and the reallity is it now costs damn near 30k to give it a belt.

Yeh, it just sounded real tinny, high pitched and hollow, not that that makes any sense.

I guess, Id describe it as sounding like a Farrari less 2 cylinders...... make sense???

Nah, it didn't sound unhealthy, just not tough....
