Stage Two of New Tech Database - Exhausts , Cats and Headers

Stage One , Discused the Induction of the Cars Air System , but the extraction system is also the same , CO2 is the Byproduct of the Cars Exhaust , which exits the car via the Headers , Catalytic Converter , then out throught the Rear Muffler . Pacemaker make very good Extractors and Most work Very Well with the right Combo of Cat and Exhaust.

A Gain of up to 10% is Reasonable with the Installation of Headers , and the dB of the Cars Exhaust will not change.

Headers (Extractors)
Headers are the first stop on the extraction of C02 from the engine , all 6 Ports on the side of the motor have an Extraction point , where they leave into the Headers , flowing into the Catalytic Converter. Pacemaker make very good Extractors and Most work Very Well with the right Combo of Cat and Exhaust.

Catalytic Converters
An air pollution abatement device that removes pollutants from motor vehicle exhaust, either by oxidizing them into carbon dioxide and water or reducing them to nitrogen.

Redback , Powersound , Custom Made , either way Everyone has a Different option with Exhausts , and with the Amount of Options you have , you can get exactly what you want .

Is Size Everything ?
The Ideal size Exhaust for any AU is 2.5" System , defianatly no Coffee Can or Pea Shooter exhausts. :togo:

It's CO (Carbon Monoxide), not Carbon Dioxide (CO2) that is a by product of exhaust. One of the cats jobs is to oxidise the CO, making CO2 (a much safer gas for humans, and the environment generally), however, it does not convert all of it, just some of it.

Also, 2.5" is only ideal from an economy point of view - the extra expense involved in 3" does not make it worthwhile to get anything larger, unless you have deep pockets, or plan to go over around 200rwkw (the approx upper limit of a 2.5" system).
