Default If you had to loose a sense...

...for whatever reason.

Which one would it be? (Don't take into consideration that removing smell sometimes removes taste too... i'm proof that it doesn't always happen)

Smell.

Then I could let one rip and it wouldn't bother me a bit

As much as I love smelling a girl's hair, I'd rather use my other senses ;)

Smell, already have lost about 50% or more anyhow. What happens when you spend 8 hors a day for about 5 days straight in a darkroom with all the photographic chemicals.
And yes, I have lost some sense of taste too but not all. I actually can not smell or tast if milk is off. I go by texture.

oh photo chemicals. that reeks like helll. in school if you mixed 2 certain chemicals (cant remember what they were called-B&W photography) they would make a pleasant (NOT) smell next morning like rotten eggs. also work in a photlab combined with drycleaning, with colour chemicals and when you recycle the silver and the chemicals in the drycleaning machine when you open it, that reeks like *** aswell. definately wouldnt mind losing smell on that account lol.

Thats interesting you say that really. I lost my sense of smell in a car accident (hit my head on the windshield of a car pretty bloody hard - which explains a few things! :P) but retained my taste.

couldnt feel anything soft and warm either _

Actually, touch would be one of the worst. You could lean on a white hot stove and not know it...till you smelt your hand on fire.

Remember, touch is one of the body's main stimulants.. without it you feel NOTHING

I am not sure....I suppose smell, however that would mean I would not be able to smell the wonderful food I cook.

Why be sorry? Its a good thing. Saved me many times from throwing up really. As soon as I realise its off I just stop drinking and throw it in the bin. _2:

Strangely, as I get older I'm finding I can smell things I could never smell before so maybe its slowly getting better over the years.

Smell, i couldnt bear to lose sight or taste.

My mother is actually anosmic, which is the medical term given to those who have no sense of smell. The annoying bit about it is that once it's gone its basically impossible to get it back, and it can happen for no reason at all.

sense of smell...no doubt about it.

I couldn't do without the others. I wouldn't be able to look at my perfect grandchildrens soulful eyes, or touch their precious skin, or hear their infectious laughter...I couldn't live without all that.

Again I can relate. It means if there is anything way off or smelly (read: old kitty litter) its my job to handle it...which I don't mind so much... it makes me usefull.

However, if found that every now and then I get a faint smell of something. It usually saturates my sense though and I can't smell it again. I can often smell something thats causing people to have headaches enough to know that something is different.

Exactly why touch is outta the question, as Casper said. You feel NOTHING!!!! So you can do a hundred pushups on the dame of your choice and Feel not a thing..... Hmm not for me please.

I chose Taste. Its the only one that really isnt as needed as the others. Put it this way, you lose youre smell, you cant taste as much. Lose taste but you still have your smell. Id rather that...

this is hard... definately between smell and taste...
what happens with taste when you're craving a certain food? you wouldn't be able to satisfy it!! but i guess after a while you'd stop craving things.
And some smells can be really comforting or a good warning etc...

Aah sh1t i cannot decide!!
i hope i don't lose any
