Default Opinions on side moulds

Here is the current state of my car:

Now I am thinking remove the side moulds and fill in the doors, but what are peoples suggestions.

I will be keeping the crease along the top where the handles go.

If anyone cares to photoshop my car with
- no moulds
- moulds finally filled in
- moulds removed and doors smoothed out

Fill the moulds and leave them on there it breaks up the outside of the car rather than having a big flat door. And get some rims for that thing already!!

I have some EB/ED optional 16" rims to go on the car, just have to clean them up.

Cant think what 17's I would want anyway.

i say remove the moulds and fill them in smooth with the door. the front and back bumpers dont have the moulds so the side moulds are ruining the clean look of the car. after that you should get a re spray in something bright and unique, gotta be a BAcolour tho! then some BA 18" wheels and your car will be even more EA2BA!

I'd fill the bottom only, leaving the top edge to line up with the front and rear bars

I would do it like in pic 2

The bottom of the moulds blends into the door, and the top bit sticks out, will look like the kit continues over the door

BTW: If your going to fill them, dont use bog lol,(when the mould bends the bog cracks and comes off) I learnt the hard way when i was trying it on the ED i couldnt thing of anything else (bendable) to use so i didnt end up doing it to mine

Any way good luck whichever way you go!

hey man, my door moulds are off @ the moment and as a few ppl have stated and i agree it looks boring. a pic of it with them off is on the link,

http://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=73886

if i were you ide flat fill the cut away completely and place the BA/BF door protectors on, the think ones, if u decide to do that make sure the lengths of the protector will match a EA doors.

good luck

Dan
