I love it.

We had a fella here run an 8.90 something with a modded factory transmission a few years ago. I'll see if I can find it.

LOL. How does an aftermarket computer make it more of a drag car than a street car ? There are literally thousands of street cars in Australia that run after market computers. Plus, powerglides have been in tough street cars for years. The fact that it is a full weight car with all features retained makes it more street car than drag car.

I'd prefer it with the factory 6 speed auto as well.

Don't know why they fitted the powerglide when the 6R80 has run a lot quicker than this car has.

I totally disagree. 2 speed gearboxes belong in the drag racing scene not on a late model street car. The new 2018 model mustang will have a 10 speed auto gearbox. Why go back to 2 gears?

In sure if they could tune the turbos on the factory computer, they would not be forced to go aftermarket.

Hence more drag car than street car.

Powerglides are beautiful things. I prefer them over C4's and TH400's but I think they just did it to make controlling the aftermarket computer easier. It's a good thing to see that engine running those times on stock bottom end in any case.

So the gearbox was a result from running the aftermarket computer?

Great result. Congradulations to all involved.

there's a story in Street Machine as well. the car was a manual so might be why they put the 2-speed in. The aftermarket computer they say had to do with tuning and pushing it so far reliably, I have heard from many tuners even Rob Herrod say the Mustangs especially turbo are extremely hard to tune here and in America, that might explain why the 3 others that were doing turbo took them off. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with a blown Mustang as it's an option for me. They said it's factory computer and auto
