Default New bits...

Here's how you spend your saturday if you've got nothing better to do and there's nothing good on TV...
Bits!
[IMG] [/IMG]

Middle section tacked together

Full system as it was first made...note the rear dump.

New rear section with resonator and stainless tip

The first build was a straight down dump pipe, instead of the extra rear resonator. It sounded great, but was mucho drone. The rear resonator totally eliminated this, it's subtle, not loud, and it doesn't drone at ALL. Took a bit of fiddling to get it all where I was happy with it, but I'm glad I did it. Car is much more fun to drive now :P Not sure if it goes any better, if it does it'd be marginal, but it sure sounds better...

Interestingly, the stock exhaust isn't too bad, all things considered. The pipe diam is pretty small, but probably not terrible. The most restrictive thing would be the main muffler, a good budget option would be to simply have that replaced with a free-flowing muffler.

A great way to spend any Saturday arvo in my books!

What diameter piping did you use? What about the S.S. tip?

Yay! DIY FTW!

Nice tidy job too.
Did it line up with the original mounts?
