I use to live in the Blue Mountains in Hazelbrook. I was convinced that the Emu Plains/Penrith area is one of the hottest places. No sea breeze and with a mountain the air is trapped. Wowsers 44.4deg is roasting. Can only imagine what the temps are like during the hot season of late Jan/Feb.

about 1 min of rain here at about 3:45pm. I'm betting my freshly cleaned escort is now filthy - it was all shiny too! :( Especially considering when i looked outside before it rained, the sky was yellowish.

All of reagion east (well most of the state actualy) are running arround like blue bum'd flys chasing lightning strikes and grass fires. the truble with the storm is its mostly dry (less than 1mm of watera)

th humidity is quite low so tomorrow wont be fun with simular temps predicted :(

If I don't get my car washed tomorrow I think I'll have to change the rego papers from blue to brown.. :(

When I was driving to my first job at 9am this morning and my dash read 36C, I knew it wasn't going to be a cold one.

In winmalee I recorded 47'C directly in the sun and 38'c in the shade, and this evening had a smell of smoke from the bushfires north of the bells line, near bilpin.

Yeah, I'm a chalky so now we need to follow "wet weather / extreme weather" rosters during this time....

Hot?? Was in the desert in Egypt earlier this year. 47.5 degrees! Lowest day temp was 41 the whole 18 days I was there, coolest night temp was around 37...

And I HATE heat....

You must be somewhere round here on the border then, cooled off real nice though this afternoon. At about 6 odd the temp and humidity really couldn't have been any better i reckon. I crossed the borth north and its warmer again, and really balmy :(.

The Car was telling me it was still 32degress in Penrith at 11pm last night, a few degrees hotter still towards the city.
Was about 30 out here when I went to bed a bit after 12.
