I presume our govt will provide the vaccine for free to most if not all of the population. So you will get the one they provide. It is usually possible to find out who manufactured it. And with China's record of producing dodgy and dangerous vaccines, it makes it doubly insulting.

Most drugs are produced in India or China, I presume vaccines would be too. Like everything else manufacturers produce their products where its cheapest.

Phil you are right it is the companies' choice; the hydroxy... was made in India if an article I read was correct. It would be nice if the CSIRO vaccine trials like being done in Geelong, could be made here.
Also the article gave a good history of quinine in India, used for malaria, and made me go and have a nice tart G&T after reading it

Actually yeah, SARS infected my mum from Chinese student (she worked at a Uni), infected my dad, and had him on a ventilator, in a coma. He was hallucinating spiders coming out of the ceiling when he came out of it. Mum still has choice words for China.

China - lock off Wuhan but still let it fly to the world. China - influenced WHO to slow declaration of pandemic. You might understand there's been some anger.

Chinese people - some of the best & nicest & most professional I've met. Also some rude ones too. Generalisations don't help.

Covidiots and masks don't know race. Ours have yet to be welded into their apartments, though

India - largest producer and exporter of HCQ;

According to Forbes, typical production capacity 40 tone a month, 200 million tablets of 200mg doses. They did stop exporting for a while as per their govt direction.

It is also an immunosuppressant.
