its a bunnings. not the home shopping place, thats next to it. bunnings and its carpark are totally separate to it.

Hey Pete, I've just got back from seeing the boys off on their cruise. They asked me to go along with them but I'm sure they were being polite, as I was at least 25 years older than most of them!! Be like taking Mum with you. One lovely young man said to me...."oh, are you GTGTP - I thought you were a bloke".... Classic stuff!

Was great to put some faces to their AFF signatures and really glad I made the effort. Their cars were beautifully turned out and 3 were sporting new decals that looked classy and very smart. A credit to the Forum.

Hope they have a good night (cool crisp night after the first glorious day in ages), and all get home safe and with no trouble. Maybe the old farts can join them one night!!

Cheers
Gaela

Or maybe an old farts cruise, say out to the barrossa, catch one of those shows under the stars at a winery, maybe a meal etc and maybe even book a spa suite ( with our partners etc ) at that new hotel out there, and enjoy some old fart chat over a good wine etc, then a casual cruise back into town the next day.

An aboslutly great cruise,And you are welcome anytime,It was good to see someone admiring the works of the other cars.

Btw you GT is awesome,I'm not usaully into decals etc but they really suit your car.

As for everyone on the cruise it was defiantly worth while albeit cold as.

Well I had a great time. We rocked up just after 7 and it didn't take long for everyone to arrive (I counted about 18 at the first stop).
There were some awesome cars there, not least of all GT-GTP! I love the sound of a V8 but even at idle that GT sounded amazing. Definitely in my top 3!
I had a few comments on the new decals (thanks to Shane and Paul!) but it didn't compare to some of them.

There were a few.. minor.. incidents but the route was great. I thought I was a decent driver but the guys in front of me made sure I was pushed to the limit just to stay behind them. That and Greenhill Road were just the challenge I needed to see how the new XR6T handles and I was pleasantly surprised.

It was definitely a night to remember and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
Thanks to Paul for organising it!

Josh

P.S. Anyone know what happened to SCS GT? I didn't see (or hear) him after the first leg.

Thanks for the nice comments on the car Josh. The Di Filippo Big Boy system is just beautiful for power and note. I can't see any photos in this thread. Were some posted?

Glad you all had a good night. I'll tag along next time.

Cheers

You're welcome! It's a pity you didn't come along, that car definitely got everyone's attention in the short time you were there.

I think Paul took some pictures at Bunnings but I don't think he has posted yet. I shall wait and hope!
